Transitioning Parent Notices to Satisfy ESSA Requirements

The reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) went into full implementation during 2017- 2018 school year. This means that State and Local Education Agencies will need to do a comprehensive overhaul of their parent notifications and associated translations, as all No Child Left Behind (NCLB) parent notices will no longer be compliant.

In a previous webinar on TransACT  ESSA Parent Notifications, attendees previewed these ESEA/ESSA Parent Notifications that will be released on July 1st,  and learned about the two years of preparation that TransACT  and our National Advisory Board put into the NCLB to ESSA transition.

For part two of our ESEA/ESSA Transition Training Series, join us for detailed training on changes to parent notifications that districts and states need to be aware of beginning July 1st, 2017.

In this free webinar (recorded live on August 14th,2017 ) you will learn:

  • 21 different categories of Parent Notifications required under ESEA/ESSA
  • Required features and components of over 100 required notifications
  • Legal requirements for parent notices under ESEA/ESSA
  • Specific use of special-use ESEA/ESSA parent notices
  • Who to send notices to
  • When specific ESEA/ESSA parent notices should be sent
  • Solutions to common issues that districts are facing during the transition year
