Since 1994, TransACT Communications, Inc. has been helping thousands of educators nationwide meet parent notification compliance with standardized, legally-reviewed notices and forms. Our focus has always been to provide K-12 educators with multilingual parent notifications and compliance guidance to increase the effectiveness of school-to-home communications.
The TransACT offices were originally located in Mukilteo, Washington. The Mukilteo School District was the first public district to do business with TransACT in 1994. The Mukilteo School District has approximately 12,000 students representing more than 50 different home languages. Since 1994, over 4,000 school districts nationwide have activated subscriptions in one or more of the company's services. Many of these districts have subscribed continuously for more than a decade. In October 2006, TransACT moved their offices to Lynnwood, Washington, a suburban community north of Seattle.
The company's core competencies include "legal and policy" content development and professional translations, web-based document delivery and accountability systems, "federal programs" compliance guidance, and personalized customer support. TransACT employees are dedicated to serving customers and exceeding their expectations.
The company is led by Rick Passovoy, its President/CEO and founder, who has assembled a world-class team to support the needs of its customers. Rick has an extensive 20-year management background in K-12 education startups with well-known integrated learning systems (ILS) companies, as well as a 10-year management background with Fortune 100 companies.
TransACT services meet the requirements for various federal funding opportunities, including Title I, Title II, Title III, and Special Education. This allows schools to easily budget for the services, save time and limited resources, and focus on their core business – educating children.
