TransAct is hosting Dr. Carol Salva as she presents on “Success for SLIFE!”

S(L)IFE -  Students with (Limited) or Interrupted Formal Education is a subgroup of English Learners with additional challenges due to their life circumstances.

Difficult circumstances can result in limited schooling or interruptions in formal education. Extenuating circumstances like the COVID-19 pandemic have exacerbated this situation (among others) and created interruptions in formal education for all student populations, including ELs.

This webinar focuses on strategies and techniques for a sub-population of ELs, S(L)IFE students, and offers techniques that allow for capitalization on promising trends for educating this already at-risk group of students.

In this free webinar, you’ll learn:

  • Characteristics of this at-risk student group
  • Challenges teachers face when working with this sub-population of English Learners
  • Ways to support S(L)IFE students

Complete the form on this page to view the recorded webinar with Dr. Carol Salva to learn more about practical strategies and techniques to assist the S(L)IFE sub-population of EL students.
