The reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) called the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) went into full affect on July 1st for the 2017- 2018 school year. State and Local Education Agencies need to complete a comprehensive overhaul of their parent notifications and associated translations, as all No Child Left Behind (NCLB) parent notices are no longer be applicable.

In our June 19th webinar on TransACT  ESSA Parent Notifications, attendees previewed the TransACT ESEA/ESSA Parent Notifications that were released on July 1st, and learned about the two years of preparation that TransACT and our National Advisory Board put into ensuring a smooth ESEA/ESSA transition for our customers.

For part two of our ESEA/ESSA Transition Training Series, held on July 24th and August 14th* we held detailed training on the changes to parent notifications that districts and states needed to be aware of beginning July 1st, 2017.

In this free webinar (recorded on July 24th), you will learn

  • 21 different categories of Parent Notifications under ESEA/ESSA
  • Details regarding use of over 100 Parent Notifications
  • Legal requirements for parent notices under ESEA/ESSA
  • Required audiences for parent notifications
  • Milestones for when to send specific ESEA/ESSA parent notices

*Our August 14th webinar addressed similar topics, and was updated with common questions from districts during the 2017-18 transition year. Please check out both! Download here.
