New Languages Available for ESSA Parent Notices

To meet federal and civil rights requirements, school administrators must provide parent communications in a language parents can understand. Administrators are specifically required to meet these communication requirements for the top 5 languages in their district.

A subscription to ParentNotices provides schools and their districts instant access to an online-library of legally-reviewed parent notices and forms in multiple, high-priority languages and access to highly qualified translation and interpretation services when the need arises. Oral interpretation and custom translations are available in any language.

In partnership with our State Departments of Education subscribers, TransACT has added 7 additional languages to the ESSA ParentNotices collection: Burmese, Gujarati, Khmer, Marshallese, Portuguese, Swahili, and Urdu. Each of the 100+ notices in the ESSA collection supports districts with compliance with federal communication laws, including ESSA and civil rights.

The ESSA collection is now available in 21 languages (including English):

  1. Arabic
  2. Bengali
  3. Burmese
  4. Chinese
  5. English
  6. French
  7. Gujarati

Having the right strategy and partnership for compliant parent and family engagement communication provides uniformity across districts and peace of mind to administrators tasked with meeting federal parent communication requirements. In addition to the ESSA collection, ParentNotices has 3 other collections of documents: General Education, Section 504, IDEA. Between the 4 document collections, there are approximately 300 documents that help meet compliance requirements related to state, federal, and civil rights laws
